LONG ISLAND -(77WABC-) There’s been another shark sighting on Long Island.  A lifeguard said swimmers were temporarily kept out of the water after two sharks were spotted in the water off Nickerson Beach in Point Lookout around  midday on Friday.

Officials say the beach’s shark jet ski unit will be patrolling the area ,and there will be additional lifeguards in the water this weekend.

There have been numerous shark sightings all summer long in the waters of Long Island beaches, including a dead Great White Shark which washed up on a Suffolk County beach.
